Wells Warriors Squirts Defend Home Ice Against Bowie Gold
Sunday January 17, the Wells Warriors Squirts defended our home ice against Bowie Gold. Bowie jumped out to a quick lead but Alex Concha tied it up with an unassisted goal at 5:33 of the first period. Bowie would break the tie just seconds before the end of the first period.
The Wells Warriors came out in the second period firing and less then a minute in the period Drew Pfeufer put one past the Bowie net minder to tie it at 2. Just about 2 minutes later Bowie fired back with a goal at the 2:46 mark of the second period to jump out to a 3-2 lead. A minute and half later Drew Pfeufer scored his second goal of the game with a beautiful assist from Alex Concha to tie the game up. At the end of two periods the score was 3-3.
The third period started out with both goalies playing well to keep their respective team in the game. But Drew Pfeufer with the assist from Alex Concha put the Warriors up with Drew netting his third goal of the game and completing the Hat Trick. Patrick Johns stood his ground and stopped all shots on him in the third period to help the Warriors put a win on the board.
