Sunday Nov 6th, the Warrior Midgets welcomed the Frederick Blue to our house. The Warriors broke the ice when Nico Padilla scored with an assist from Josh Falcone. Almost 4 minutes later Max Morgan scored his first of the night with assists from Trevor Birch and Josh Falcone. Noah Haycock stood tall in the net dtopping everything they threw at him.

The second period puck dropped and in less then 60 seconds Max Morgan scored his second of the night with an assist from Nico Padilla. The next 10 minutes both goalies stopped everything than Josh Falcone scored with an assist from Tyler Webster. Frederick would soon deny Noah his shutout when they scored 3 goals in the last 4 minutes of the period. At the end of two the Warriors were leading 4-3.

Just after the puck dropped for the start of the final period, Max Morgan scored his third goal for the Hat-Trick with an assist from Reid Williams at 14:43. Two minutes later Nico Padilla scored his second of the night unassisted. With the clock winding down, Max Morgan would once again put one past the goalie from Frederick for his fourth goal at the :28 mark. Just like the first period Noah Haycock would stand tall and stop everything that Frederick could send his way.

Sunday Nov 6th, the Warrior Peewee team opened their season at home against the Harford North Stars. The Peewees started their game much like the Bantam Team did with the goalies stopping everything that came their way. At the 3:05 mark Luka Mairesse changed that by putting his first goal of the year in the net. Harford answered back quickly and the period ended tied 1-1.

The puck dropped for the second period and Luka Mairesse quickly netted his second goal of the day in the first minute of the period. The North Stars answered with two goals in the next 5 minutes. Less than a minute after The North Stars took the lead Alex Concha answered with his first goal of the season with an assist from Divyne Apollon. In the last minute of the period, Alex Concha beat the North Star goalie and put the Warriors back ahead, the period ended 4-3.

The third period started and Luka Mairesse scored his third goal for the hat trick at the 10:23 mark. Harford would answer late in the period but at the end the North Stars would come up short and loose to the Warriors 5-4. This was a good start for Finnegan Hairston as his first time between the pipes.

Sunday November 6th, the Bantams opened their season against Frederick Red in an early morning game. The game started out as a goal tender dual with both net minders stopping every shot that was sent their way.

Frederick started the scoring when they put one in the net less then a minute into the second period. The Warriors struck back at 10:16 when Daniel Saathoff put one in on the Power Play with an assist from Logan Masaya to tie the game up. Frederick put a second goal in a few minutes later to go up 2-1. Logan Masaya answered back about 30 seconds later with an assist from Jack Hairston. Frederick was able to put in 2 more goals in before the end of the second.

Just after the puck dropped for the third period, Logan Masaya scored an unassisted goal to bring the Warriors to within one. Frederick was able to score 2 more goals before Everett Stephen was able to score his first goal of the season on a Power Play with an assist from Daniel Saathoff. When the final horn went, the Warrior Bantam team fell to Frederick Red by a score of 6-4.

Saturday November 5, 2016 the Wells Warriors Midgets opened the 2016-2017 season with a quick trip up 270 to play Frederick. The Warriors took the ice and the game started at a furious pace. Frederick started the scoring when they put one in past Noah Haycock at 14:21 of the first. Max Morgan quickly answered at 12:56 of the first with an assist from Jacob Eberhardt. Both goalies played well stopping every other shot in the first.

The second period started with Max Morgan putting in his second goal of the game at 14:09 with assists from Trevor Birch and Reid Williams. The Warrior Midgets then poured on the offensive attack. Nico Padilla scored his first at 12:50 with an assist from Alan Radushkovsky. Max Morgan completed his Hat Trick at 12:27 with an assist from Thomas Cassidy. At the 9:00 minute mark Thomas Cassidy ripped one from the point to score a short handed goal with an assist from Reid Williams. Josh Falcone dented the net with the second shorty at 8:49 with an assist from Nico Padilla. Not to be out done by the offense Tyler Webster unleashed a wicked wrist shot at 7:48 assisted by Max Morgan. Just over two minutes later Tyler sniped his second goal with assists from Reid Williams and Alan Radushkovsky. Frederick finally answered back with a power play goal at the 5:12 mark. Josh Falcone let go a quick wrist shot from just below the face off circle beating the Frederick goalie with an assist from Nico Padilla at 1:57. Nico Padilla slid one past the Frederick net minder at 0:25 being assisted from Josh Falcone.

In the third period Noah Haycock stopped every shot he faced while Alan Radushkovsky netted his first goal as a Midget at 10:38 with assists from Nico Padilla and Josh Falcone. About 5 minutes later Alan Radushkosvsky put his second puck in the net with assists from Reid Williams and Max Morgan.

When the final buzzer sounded the Wells Warriors Midgets won 12-2. Frederick will try and take revenge on the Midgets when we play host to them on November 6.

Wells Warrior Mites Host First Jamboree

This morning the Wells Warrior Mites hosted their first Jamboree of the year at Wells. Teams from Chevy Chase, Tri-City, and Potomac joined us for the first of several jamborees.
